PPI Plate Constructed Herringbone Wing Pulley

The PPI Plate Constructed Herringbone Wing Pulley is designed for applications where conventional wing pulleys experience excessive material lodging and wing folding. Its heavier plate construction, extreme wing angles and reinforced center design provide a rugged solution for conveyor systems.

Wing angles of up to 45° use the rotation of the pulley to help eject material toward the sides of the conveyor rather than allowing it to recirculate around the pulley. The design also provides multiple points of belt contact while maintaining wider gaps between the wings, helping reduce the potential for material entrapment.

PPI Mine Duty Drum Pulley engineered for strength and durability in demanding conveyor applications

 

PPI Mine Duty Drum Pulley

For applications requiring additional strength and reliability, the PPI Mine Duty Drum Pulley is engineered with heavier rims and end discs. It is intended for conveyor applications where increased service life and additional safety factor are important.

The Mine Duty Drum Pulley is particularly well suited for conveyors experiencing frequent starts and stops with a loaded belt, as well as applications where increased reliability is desired.

  • Minimum 150% greater end disc strength compared with Heavy Duty Drum pulleys
  • Minimum 300% greater rim strength compared with Heavy Duty Drum pulleys
